Chemical faculty of Ivanovo-Vosnessensk Polytechnic Institute... Ivanovo Institute of Chemistry and Technology... Ivanovo State Academy of Chemistry and Technology... And Ivanovo State UNIVERSITY of Chemistry and Technology.

This is a long, historical path made by our higher school since 1918. It embraces establishment of the complex of buildings for education and accommodation of students and other facilities. It comprises uniting of the experienced faculty members with their own traditions; creation of scientific schools known all over beyond Russia; training of the specialists which are able to solve problems which face modern chemical industry. This path includes training of top qualified research staff of Doctors and Candidates of Science both for our University and other educational institutions and research institutes.

We are proud that the leading majority in chemical industry are our graduates. We are proud of many world known scientists and scholars who began their way to science at our higher school. Many distinguished scientists, who graduated from our Institute, had been working and teaching there untill the last days of their lives. We are to take proud in those of our graduates who became well-known researchers and now are the successors of IVPI - ICTI - ISACT - ISUCT glorious traditions.

We were granted the University status in the year of our 80-th anniversary. In the first phrase this word is written in capital letters. It means that our glorious history makes all of us to pledge ourselves to do our best to gain the right of writing this very word - UNIVERSITY- in capital letters.
